It is quite natural to have this kind of diagnosis to be afraid. I was was quite shocked when I diagnosed with lymphoma in November. Side effects of chemotherapy are greatly dependent on medication given precision and frequency of treatments.

All the faces and deals with the diagnosis and treatment of various types. There will be ups and downs in his fight against this terrible disease. But a good deal and try to keep positive thinking. Chemotherapy can be tiring, than to wait, especially after cycle 3 or 4 It may make you a sick - but that can quickly control the disease with medications prescribed by your doctor.

I wish you all the best

I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease in February 2007. I had a very advanced disease (stage IV). I was treated with 8 cycles of ABVD chemotherapy and have since been in remission.

ABVD chemotherapy is used by far the most common first-line therapy for Hodgkin's disease. BEACOPP and Stanford V are two other systems that are sometimes used (but much less frequently).

ABVD has been almost always outpatient. There are two treatments in each cycle of 28 days and were dispersed within two weeks. It would be approximately 3 hours for each treatment.

ABVD is not easy, but achievable. I have not lost my hair, but diluted. (Loss of hair with ABVD will be lost approximately 75% of the remaining 25% thinner easy.) Willingness to hAir to escape, but you can in the lucky group that only the weight loss experiments. You should know by the second or the third stage. My main problem was nausea, but never really broken. It was like with the stomach flu for a few days - you do not feel good.

I have a blog where I wrote about how ABVD is given what they expect on the day of treatment, etc. If you do me a message via Yahoo! Answers, please send the link.

Thousands of people have, due to chemotherapy for Hodgkin's disease and was also. Certainly not alone.
